Seyla is an iPhone app for recording talking-head videos one short thought at a time. This policy describes what we collect, what stays on your iPhone, and how to reach us. Questions or requests:hello@getseyla.com.

Video stays on your iPhone

Camera and microphone are used to record takes. Raw takes, thumbnails, and exported videos are stored locally on the device. We do not upload raw video to our servers. Signing out does not delete local media. Photos permission is add-only: we save a finished video you choose to save. We do not read your photo library.

Account

You sign in with email. We send a passwordless one-time code. Your account identifier (not your recordings) is what membership, support, and analytics use to refer to the same person.

What we collect

• Email address for sign-in, account messages, and support
• A unique account identifier, shared with the services listed below
• Membership status through Apple and RevenueCat (purchase tokens, not your card number)
• Product analytics after you sign in (how the app is used, not your video files)
• Optional session replay of the app interface through PostHog on EU infrastructure. Text fields and images are masked.
• Crash and error reports, so we can fix the app
• A push notification token, only after you allow notifications. We do not ask at first launch.
• Optional marketing email, only if you opt in separately and confirm that opt-in. Creating an account is not marketing consent.

Services we use

Depending on how you use the app: Apple (App Store billing), Supabase (authentication and account records), RevenueCat (membership), Resend (email), PostHog (product analytics and optional session replay), Layers (product analytics), Tenjin (install attribution), Sentry (crashes and errors), OneSignal (push notifications), and Crisp (in-app support chat).

Recording does not require tracking permission. Attribution may run after you sign in so we can understand where installs come from.

Your account

You can delete your Seyla account in Settings. That removes your account with us. It does not cancel an App Store subscription — manage that in Apple Subscriptions. You can also emailhello@getseyla.com and we will help.

This website

getseyla.com is a marketing site. It may record page views (PostHog, if a project key is configured). It does not collect video.

Children

Seyla is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
